FULL HOUSE FOR 5TH CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATES

A huge thank you to all of our Louisiana loggers who came out tonight for an important Louisiana Loggers Association meeting!

We had the opportunity to discuss current timber markets, federal legislation, and state legislation in the works, along with the issues that continue to impact our logging contractors, landowners, mills, truckers, and rural communities across Louisiana.

We also want to sincerely thank the three candidates running for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District for taking the time to join us, listen, learn, and have meaningful discussions about the challenges facing our industry and the broader Louisiana workforce. Thank you Senator Stewart Cathey, Misti Cordell, and Representative Gabe Firment for taking time out of your campaign schedule to spend time with our loggers!

Having elected leaders and candidates willing to sit down with the people who build, harvest, haul, manufacture, and work every day is important. Our industry deserves to be heard…and tonight was a great example of what can happen when we come together and have honest conversations.
